Michelle has a rich history of collaborating with large corporations such as Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, as well as with solopreneurs with an authentic purpose. While maintaining her commitment to small businesses, Michelle is increasingly drawn to working with creatives, where she is particularly enthusiastic about aiding artists in discovering their unique voice and fostering the growth of their art businesses. Her expertise lies in translating seemingly scattered ideas into compelling creative solutions, resulting in professional, modern websites that effectively convert.
Together with her clients, Michelle crafts websites with targeted aesthetics that are consistently on point, on time, and on budget.
This is her story.
Born and raised in Houston, TX, Michelle’s early passion for design and art was deeply inspired by visionaries like Peter Max. Her mom, a design school graduate, encouraged her creative pursuits, while her dad, a mechanical engineer, foresaw the importance of computer literacy in the coming age. He introduced her to coding, an investment that proved invaluable later in her career.
Michelle’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged early. Following years in the corporate world and project management, she started a design business creating enamel jewelry. While the venture grew and she wore many hats, it eventually led to burnout. However, the experience taught her invaluable lessons about being a small business owner, reinforcing her commitment to never advocate for marketing solutions that won’t work for her clients.
A move to Colorado, a suggestion from her father, and a desire for a new direction led Michelle to pursue web design. After completing her education in web design and getting her webmaster certification, she established Bracewell Web Works in 2000 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Which brings us to the here & now.
In an industry where change is constant, Michelle prioritizes staying on top of the latest coding, design, online marketing trends, and SEO developments. This commitment ensures that her clients receive cutting-edge solutions tailored to their needs.
After years of creating her art in her spare time, late 2022 she began showing her art and pursuing her passion as a mixed media assemblage artist. She won first place in her first juried exhibit in Santa Fe, NM and has since won another award in a national juried show. Now she divides her time with not only her web design business, she has a growing art business, Michelle Bracewell Art. Through this journey she has developed a passion for helping creatives grow their businesses as well.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys her two little rescue dogs, and working in her garden in warmer months.
